The car now gets new LED headlights, minor designing tweaks, upgraded auto climate control, etc. With the 2021 Honda Odyssey now gets a refreshed design tweaks, updated feature list, and a refreshed cabin. The 2021 Honda Odyssey price starts from $32,000 while the top trim option, the Elite is priced at $49,000. The cabin is well built and the prices are reasonable as well.īe it a premium cabin, comfortable seating, spacious cabin, or the overall practicality, the 2021 Honda Odyssey has it all. The styling looks more aggressive and the engine and the transmission options are better than before. With the recent 2021 update, the Honda Odyssey now gets a more extensive feature and equipment list, which makes it a terrific package against its rivals. In short, the Honda Odyssey is not just one of the most practical and reliable minivans, but also comes heavily equipped, making it one of the best in the segment. The Japanese carmaker has now launched the 2021 model in the market. The car is not only graceful in terms of looks but also gets a comfortable cabin, responsive yet light steering wheel, and a perfectly tuned suspension setup. Regarded as one of the best looking mini-vans on sale in the American market, the 2020 Honda Odyssey is one of the most premium, reliable, and comfortable vehicles. If smart is sexy then the 2021 Honda Odyssey is a centerfold. The Honda Odyssey is one of the most practical, comfortable, and spacious vans for urban families. The refreshed minivan is big on space and interior comforts, even as the competition has shifted ahead with more innovative powertrain options. Still, the Odyssey excels at what it was meant to do well: haul families and their gear in space, comfort, and safety. It earns a 6.8 on our overall scale, thanks to a perfect score for comfort. Like last year, the 2021 Odyssey starts at about $32,000 in base LX trim, then climbs the ladder in features and cost in EX, EX-L, Touring, and top Elite trim, which comes in at just under $50,000. Safety equipment such as automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and adaptive cruise control are now standard across the lineup, but the LX still only gets a 5.0-inch display screen. The same 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 and a 10-speed automatic with front-wheel drive powers every Odyssey regardless of trim. It’s reasonably efficient with an EPA-rated 22 mpg combined, and the ride is reassuringly calm, quiet, and predictable. Inside, the Odyssey seats up to eight, with enough room for adults to ride in the wayback. Stow the third row in the floor and there’s more cargo volume than most SUVs with all the seats folded down. Safety is as big a priority as space in the 2021 Odyssey, with the NHTSA and IIHS bestowing top crash-test ratings on the minivan. The power-adjustable front seats on all trim levels are well-padded and comfy, and on the EX-L and above they come shod in leather in the first and outer second row seats. That row is comfy too, especially with the armrests on all but the base trim. In back, the third row could fit adults with plenty of head room and 38 inches of leg room, which is more than most sedans. With all three rows in place, there is 33 cubic feet of cargo space. That rear seat splits 60/40 and can be stowed into the floor with an easy pull of the strap for either side, as long as you collapse the head rests first. That balloons cargo volume to 88.6 cubic feet, which is more than many three-row SUVs with both rows of seats down, including the Honda Pilot (83.9 cubic feet). On all but the base LX trim, which seats seven, the second row in the Odyssey comes with Magic Slide seats that move laterally for easier ingress and egress when the middle seat is removed. Removing the other second row seats has historically been a load, but Honda says the seats in the 2021 Odyssey are easier to remove. We’ll report back after we test that claim. It can’t be as easy as the Chrysler Pacifica’s, which fold into the floor. With all seats folded or removed, there is a truck-like 144.9 cubic feet of cargo room. The 2021 Odyssey LX is not nearly as basic as a Chrysler Voyager. In addition to the standard safety features and nifty third-row seating mentioned above, the base model comes with a power driver’s seat, keyless ignition, two USB charging ports, Bluetooth connectivity, and 18-inch wheels. The 5.0-inch display screen is a disappointment. The EX hits our sweet spot of value by adding room for one more passenger to seat eight.

Adobe decided to change the interface for Lightroom CC (creative cloud). I am now using the newest version called Lightroom Classic. I have used Lightroom throughout my whole photography career since its first iteration in 2007. They have made a great program that is as useful for beginners as it is for professionals. Adobe aims to create a program that can cover a photographer’s post-process from upload to export. Lightroom has features from organizing and editing photos to exporting them to various platforms. Lightroom stores a preview and information for each image uploaded. Instead, they are a reference to your photograph. You can do this as the program doesn’t keep each file inside the actual program. The program allows you to upload a vast range of images. You can see examples of Photoshop in action in my article comparing Capture One vs Photoshop, and also compare Canva vs Photoshop. What is Adobe Lightroom and its Lightroom Catalog?Īdobe’s Lightroom is their staple program that is primarily used for organizing. Photoshop is an indispensable part of my photo editing workflow, and is a key piece of software for any professional photographer, whether a landscape or fashion photographer, or anywhere in-between. This means that you can take a photo on your phone and start editing it, then finish your editing on your computer. But it does have the advantage of syncing to Lightroom Mobile, which Lightroom Classic does not do. Most serious photographers do not use this, as it is underpowered compared to the more fully featured Lightroom Classic. Lightroom (Cloud Version) is a more basic version of Lightroom Classic. Needless to say, the meaning of Amethyst is steeped in tradition and lore. Meanwhile, it represents the agony Christ felt during his crucifixion in Christianity. Aristocrats wore it to symbolize humility and modesty, too.Īmethyst even had a part in religion! In Catholicism, bishops wore it to stay safe from the unholy effects of wine. During the Renaissance period, it became a sign of royalty. Soldiers throughout Europe used it on shields to grant protection and prevent evil thoughts. In Ancient Egypt, Amethyst adorned jewelry to protect against guilt, fear, and witchcraft. While shedding his alcohol-stained tears of remorse, he spilled wine onto her crystalized body and created the rock we know today!Įventually, Greeks started to wear the stone to protect themselves from the effects of getting drunk on wine. To protect the girl, the goddess Artemis transformed her into pale Quartz stone. The story says that Dionysus, in a drunken rage, tried to kill a maiden he attempted to court. In Ancient Rome, he was known as Bacchus. The common name we know today comes from the Greek word “Amethystos,” which means “not intoxicated.” According to Greek legend, Amethyst came to be from actions by Dionysus, the god of fertility and winemaking. Some of the earliest stories of Amethyst come from Ancient Greece. But one thing remained constant: Humans always held this stone in high regard! The cultural importance of Amethyst varied widely from one region to the next. But thousands of years ago, it was one of the most valuable crystals available. Its wide availability made Amethyst a mainstay in many cultures. The most vibrant samples come from Uruguay, but it’s readily available in the United States, Brazil, and beyond! Like other forms of Quartz, it’s also possible to synthesize Amethyst in a lab setting!
